If you are looking at the military I would strongly recommend the Air Force over any other branches. They get treated like normal human beings. I did 4 years in the USMC and I can had friends in every branch of service. You will never have to clean any toilets in the Air Force. I think every military branch have a cut off age, so your options might be limited.

I am 36 and I'm in the process of changing careers right now. Just because you have a degree does not guarantee you a job. After 5 years in the corporate world, it becomes very apparent that to get ahead I would need to develop some serious *** kissing skills. I refuse to sell my soul in that manner. I am going into law enforcement. You should check it out. The pay is very competitive and they have a great retirement program. It is not your 401k that shrinks in half over night.
